We will deliver you high quality and repeatable results, and we can assist with a huge range of projects – whether you are looking for single or multiple species, setting biodiversity baselines, or conducting dietary analyses.
SINGLE SPECIES DETECTION
If you have one particular species that you would like to target, eDNA Frontiers will apply a technique that targets only the DNA of your species of interest within the sample. Using eDNA to pick up traces of DNA left behind by target species is particularly useful when surveying for rare and elusive species, or if you need an early warning signal for invasive species.
At eDNA Frontiers, we excel at multi-species detections using a technique called metabarcoding. We take your environmental sample, extract the DNA from it, and establish an inventory of the organisms that have deposited DNA in your sample. We will work with you to determine what assays will best suit your study design to detect groups that are of interest to you.
Determining what an organism is eating can be incredibly important for conservation management purposes, but is often hard to do. We can analyse scat or gut content samples and using metabarcoding determine what has been consumed by the animal. We can even determine what organism deposited the scat if this is unknown.
It is important that you can trust the quality and repeatability of results. At eDNA Frontiers, we pride ourselves in our quality control, custom methodologies, and superior study outcomes.
