eDNA sampling made easy
One of the biggest risks when sampling for eDNA is contaminating your sample with DNA that has not originated from the sampling environment.Â
Using a sampling kit pre-prepared by eDNA Frontiers helps to avoid contamination, with some of our sampling options providing a solution that removes the need for cold-chain transport.
WATER SAMPLING
SYRINGE SAMPLING KIT
Each sampling kit contains:
- 1 zip-lock pouch with instructions and sample label
- 1 pair of nitrile gloves
- 1 large syringe with pre-filter
- Small syringe(s) with preservative
- Filter units
These kits are available in single replicate, 3 replicate, and 5 replicate kits as standard, and can be purchased directly from eDNA Frontiers. If you require a bespoke replicate option, we can accommodate this, too.

SEDIMENT AND SCAT SAMPLING
Sediment and scats are easily contained within 50mL falcon tubes. We can prepare a kit for you that includes:
- 50mL falcon tubes
- Nitrile gloves
- Bleach tablets
- Forceps and spatulas
- Marker pens
- Sample bags
